We’re Growing: David Bogue joins Glanris as Regional Sales Manager

Today, we're happy to announce that David Bogue has joined Team Glanris as Regional Sales Manager. Based in the Minneapolis area, David will handle the midwest and will cover sales west of the Mississippi River, including west coast sales, until that position is filled.

David is a water quality professional with 25 years of experience in developing sales and distribution channels for new technologies and in developing markets for existing technologies.  He brings valuable insight into the industrial wastewater treatment applications for our media. Prior to Glanris, he focused on wastewater aeration and mixing to treat industrial wastewater effluent for industrial clients. Historically, his focus has been on developing markets for new technologies addressing agricultural and urban nonpoint source runoff.  He enjoys applying academic concepts to real-world situations.

“I’m excited to be a part of a sustainable solution to a myriad of environmental issues that also fosters sound economic growth…” David Bogue says

Glanris’ Biocarbon™ filtration media can provide significant economic advantages to the market via its unique dual-functionality — the ability to remove metal and organic contaminants from water. Our media is made from ag-waste that would otherwise be an environmental and financial burden for farmers; there are over 220+ billion pounds of rice husks produced annually that are usually burned (emitting CO2) or left to rot in landfills (emitting CH4). With this massive raw supply availability, we can provide a low-cost solution in the industrial, municipal, and point-of-use markets. Our eco-friendly product comes with no green premium.

“Repurposing rice hulls as water filtration media provides multiple wins for the environment…” a recent Glanris spotlight in Forbes noted. One of these wins is “[replacing] the use of harmful microplastics in traditional water filters.” We are seeking to help especially high-volume industrial and municipal customers who are looking for alternative affordable and effective metals removal technology.  David’s experience will help bring Glanris’ Biocarbon™ filtration media into novel industrial applications.

“I’m excited to have David join Glanris.  He bring a wealth of knowledge on the industrial applications for our media which is critical in building trust with our industrial prospects.  They know and trust David’s opinion, which is critical in the water industry to building sales quickly” said Bryan Eagle, CEO of Glanris.
